Silver Linings
One of the silver linings in this Duchenne journey is the community. In our world wide Duchenne family, there are amazing people and organizations offering help, despite their own struggles. One of those amazing people is author Christena Estby.
She shares a bit of exciting news below…
After much thought and conversation, and a lot of work this summer, I’m happy to announce that I’ve written a book!
“Greater Than Grief: Two Brothers Against Duchenne” chronicles our family’s journey through pregnancy loss, the stress of a NICU stay and some after effects, foster care/adoption, a rare disease diagnosis, parenting, homeschooling, and a continued faith in God’s promises.
I plan to publish through Amazon in early December 2022 and would be grateful for any help you could give in spreading the word.
I’ve started a 2nd Instagram account more closely tied to the book, @twobrothersagainstduchenne and would appreciate a follow. I also have a blog I’m restarting after a long hiatus and an author page on Facebook at Christena Estby – Author.
My prayer is that this story can be a blessing to others. Writing it has certainly been a blessing to me. ❤️
