Brian Nicholoff joins us this week as a special guest on The Duchenne Life.
The Nicholoff name is well known in our Duchenne community for many reasons. From PJ’s Protocol to helping expand cardiac care for Duchenne, Brian Nicholoff is both a friendly kind-hearted mentor and a legend within our community.
On our show this week, we’ll chat with Brian about the lesser-known personal side of his family: how and why PJ’s Protocol came to be, challenges they face parenting an adult child with Duchenne while grieving for another, and reasons for their continued support and advocacy for our Duchenne community.
Most definitely, we will discuss PJ’s Protocol – the standard of care for corticosteroid stress dosing to minimize the risk of adrenal crisis – and also the Nicholoff’s recent support of the cardiac center at Riley’s Hospital.
